How to Join Our Travel Agency Sub Agent Program- Agency owne
Obtain a DBA (Doing Business As)
To operate as a travel agent, you may need to obtain a DBA if you plan on using a business name different from your legal name. Here’s how to do it:
- Choose Your Business Name: Select a unique name that reflects your travel services.
- Check Availability: Search your state’s business registry to ensure that the name is not already in use.
- File for DBA: Complete the necessary forms provided by your local or state government office. This often includes submitting an application and paying a filing fee.
- Publication Requirement: Some states require you to publish your DBA in a local newspaper for a certain period.
- Receive Confirmation: Once approved, you will receive confirmation of your DBA registration.
On Boarding
Onboarding Process Once connected with a Sub Agent , they will initiate the onboarding process through Island Life Agency. This typically includes:
- Application Submission: Fill out any required applications or forms provided by the agency owner.
- 7 day email on boarding process
- Optional Travel Agent Academy
Conducting virtual Meetings
After onboarding is complete, as part of your responsibilities, you will need to have regular Zoom meetings with your agency owner. These meetings serve several purposes:
- To discuss sales strategies
- To review performance metrics
- To address any questions or concerns regarding operations
Ensure that these meetings are scheduled regularly for effective communication.
Understanding Compensation Structure As an agency owner managing sub agents:
- You will earn a percentage of all sales generated by your team.
- Specifically, you will receive 20% on all Travel Academy sales made by sub agents under your management.
- For every Familiarization (FAM) trip attended by each sub agent, you will receive $50 off any FAM trip costs.
This compensation structure incentivizes both performance and collaboration among team members.
Sub agency contract -
An Agency owner does need to sign a contact between you and the island life agency. It just protects us both from how the payout of yourself and the sub agents will work. (This is mandatory for anyone to start an agency under our credentials)

Not only are you able to actively bring on as many sub agents as you want. We also offer agency owners new agents as we bring them on if you're looking to build your teams faster
